Images of Hatfield – Oaks

This section contains photographic images of some of the Oak (Quercus) trees and saplings found in Hatfield. One of Britain's native tree species, the Oak is a key emblem of Hatfield's Royal heritage – dating back to the start of the Elizabethan era in 1558, when Queen Elizabeth I received the news of her ascent to the throne while reading a book under an Oak in Hatfield Park.
